Unfortunately, at the beginning of the year I forgot to renew my domain (defaveri.org), and after more than 10 years, I had to say goodbye to it!
This happened because I registered it with an email that I don’t check frequently. Additionally, the Gmail mobile application had its own contribution as somehow switched from All inboxes to the main account, missing all the provider emails.
Anyway, lesson learned: bought a new domain (defaveri.blog), moved to a new hosting provider (Cloudflare) and created a reminder to renew the domain!
The move has been easy taking only a couple of hours:
- Created a free account on Cloudflare
- Transferred the new domain to Cloudflare
- Created the Pages project to host the blog
- Updated GitHub actions to deploy on Cloudflare Pages (instructions)
